Yard and Wood Waste Drop-Off

Winton MFG accepts yard & wood waste drop-off at our facility.

Collect your yard waste from mowing, trimming, raking and weeding in a loose pile or in brown paper yard waste bags. Load up your yard waste materials in your vehicle and drop them off at Winton. We weigh your load to give you the most accurate pricing with no guessing on volumes.

Your yard waste is combined with your neighbors and food waste from businesses, recycling it into high quality compost in our state-of-the-art facility.

What’s Accepted?

May be bagged in plain brown paper yard waste bags, no plastic.

Yard Waste - including needles & cones, grass clippings, garden residues, leaves & branches.

Land Clearing Waste - all tree species, root balls (free of rocks & dirt), tree trunks and branches. No limit on diameter but please keep lengths to less than 8 ft.

Untreated Wood Waste - free of nails, staples and paint.

What’s NOT Accepted?

NO Garbage- Plastic, Glass, Waxed Cardboard, Metal

NO Landscaping Debris- Rocks, Dirt, Soil, Bamboo, Cedar, Redwood, Railroad Ties

NO Construction Debris- Drywall, Treated or Painted Wood

NO Manures- Farm Animal Wastes, Pet (Cat or Dog) Waste, Soiled Animal Bedding

Tipping Fees

Start at $15 per cubic yard.

$68 per ton with a $15 minimum fee for loads under 400 pounds.

*All tipped material has an Energy Recovery Fee of 5.44% and is applied to the final sale.

**All loads subject to inspection. Loads may be rejected based on contamination.

APPLE MAGGOT QUARANTINE INFO

All areas west of Leavenworth are within the Washington State Department of Agriculture Apple Maggot Quarantine area.

This quarantine includes transferring of any homegrown or foraged fruit, brush, and yard waste out of the quarantine area. For more info and a map, visit:

  • Yes, just make sure that there are no rocks. Standard tipping fees apply.

  • The problem is the paper, which does not decompose quickly and may contain fire retardant or mold retardant chemicals which leach into the soil. Fire retardants acidify the soil, and mold retardants might kill beneficial soil fungi
